It is RIGHT on the beach which is what drew me to this hostel. I stayed in the 8 bed women's room, and because it is upstairs in the back, it was a pretty quiet room - probably the best location for me. I did wear earplugs to sleep since I tend to go to bed pretty early. There are daily events which are fun, and the deck is great - hammocks and couches, and there is always fun music playing and people hanging out. They also have beach chairs and stuff to borrow which was awesome. I went to Heart Yoga in nearby Mission Beach for beach yoga and it was lifechanging.

Its beachfront location provided incredible views and made it easy to enjoy the ocean at any time. The common areas were well-designed for meeting new people, and the events hosted by the staff added a fun, social element to my stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always going out of their way to ensure guests had a memorable experience. I also appreciated how clean and organized everything was, even with such a lively crowd.

Location was excellent. Self-service breakfast (pancakes and eggs that you cook yourself, with fruits provided sometimes) was a nice touch. Staff were super friendly, and people there were very nice. I loved that they had activities planned out practically everyday, which brought the hostel community together. Bicycle, surfboard and wetsuit rentals for residents had the best value prices in the area. Lovely patio area that faces the beach where you can enjoy drinks on the bar chairs, couches or hammocks.

The beach is right there and connects to a tons of other great places to explore up and down the boardwalk. I can’t wait to come back, thank you ITH!
